Public Health Nurse-Poplar Bluff
Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Community and Public Health, Bureau of Special Health Care Needs has an opening for a Public Health Nurse Service Coordinator for the southeast area. This position requires Missouri licensure as a Registered Nurse. Experience in provision of service coordination or services for individuals with special health care needs preferred, as is home care/home health and pediatric experience. Must possess the ability to conduct home visits in a culturally competent manner, to conduct assessments, to prior authorize medically-necessary in-home services and be computer literate. Occasional overnight travel required. Frequent contact with health care professionals and participation with community agencies required. Director of Home Care Services
St. John’s Mercy Health Services has a full-time opportunity for a Director of Home Care Services. Primary responsibilities are to implement and supervise the agency’s organizational plan, ensure the provision of quality care consistent with all government regulations, and maintain ongoing communication with the home services staff.
The right candidate will be a strong leader and team builder, have good communication skills with all levels of staff, and involved in process development and improvement to ensure quality. Proven fiscal management skills a must, five years clinical nursing experience and three years of home services management experience. Extensive knowledge of current federal and state laws, regulations, certification requirements, JCAHO standards pertaining to home care. Current Missouri RN license required, BSN preferred.

Requirements for Director of Operations - Home Health:
~Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse specific to that state the employee is assigned to work by the company with at least one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience in home health care, hospice care, or related health programs.

Administrator of Community Health Services
JOB SUMMARY
The Director is responsible for the overall management of all programs within the Community Health Services department. Administers the Community Health Services department consistent with the purpose, goals, objectives and policies established by the John Village Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Maintains the image of the agency in the communities served and in state and national organizations. Keeps the agencies abreast of local, state and national trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
~ Assumes responsibility for overall administration of the agencies that comprise the Community Health Services department.
~ Provides counsel to the Executive Committee regarding needs of the community, CHS agencies and health care planning relating to the Community Health Services department.
~ Informs the Executive Committee of program activities through periodic written and verbal reports.
~ Presents proposals and recommendations to the Vice President of Health and Community Services for action regarding
policies and programs.
~ Implements directives from the Vice President Health and Community Services and/or the Executive Committee.
~ Oversees activities and provides supervision of the Associate Administrators of Home Health (business and clinical), Manager of Kansas Branch Home Health, and Manager of Hospice.
~ Directs and participates in the development of the CHS departmental goals.
~ Develops procedures that allow for consumer participation in the agency’s program planning and policies.
~ Plans for development of programs related to identified needs, consistent with the purposes and resources of the agency.
~ Directs modification or expansion of programs according to information obtained, Executive Committee direction and program guidelines.
~
Provides input on legislative activities on state and federal level.
~
Establishes functions and qualifications for all personnel in collaboration with the HR department.
~
Oversees budget development and presents recommendations reflecting program priorities to the Vice President Health
and Community Services and/or the Executive Committee.
~
Oversees compliance with the departmental-approved budget.
~
Oversees a public relations program that allows for interpretation of the department’s services and fosters good working
relations with community agencies and physicians.
~
Participates in or delegates participation in community activities with particular reference to home care and end of life services.
~
Performs other functions as directed by the Executive Committee.

We are seeking candidates with minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, social work or a business related area. A master’s degree is preferred.
