Committee Descriptions
- Annual Conference Committee - Plans and implements all details of the Annual Conference and Home Care Exhibition, an educational networking event for the home care industry.
- Administrative Services Resource Committee - Assesses educational resource needs of administrative and support staff and establishes plans to meet those needs through workshops, seminars, printed and audio/visual materials.
- Awards Committee - Oversees the selection process of award recipients each year then plans and presents the banquet and ceremony that recognize special contributions by individuals to the home care industry.
- Clinical Resource Committee - Assesses educational resource needs of clinical staff and establishes plans to meet those needs through workshops, seminars, printed and audio/visual materials.
- Emergency Preparedness Committee - Promotes activites and education that assist providers in preparing for a natural or manmade disaster in their community.
- Home Care Advocacy Committee - Works to assure that the legislative/regulatory climate is supportive of home care through advocacy initiatives. Provides education and information to MAHC membership about the legislative and governmental process and current legislative/regulatory issues. This committee focuses on home health, in-home, private duty, hospice and Medicare/Medicaid issues.
- Membership Committee - Develops new member benefits and plans for enhancing member recruitment. Assists in conducting regional member forums.
- Private Duty Committee - Focuses on issues unique to private duty providers, particularly data, educaton, and standards.
- Research and Analysis Committee - Develops and conducts research about home care industry financial and operational issues. Past research included productivity, salary information, and other financial benchmarks.
- Therapy Taskforce - Examines the education and resource needs of home care therapists. Develop workshops and other education opprotunites.
