The law firm of Van Osdol Magruder Erickson & Redmond has teamed up with MAHC to bring you this exciting service. The Van Osdol firm has been a long time associate member of MAHC. Robert (Bob) Beachy, esq. will be the lead attorney for the firm. Bob has been an active member, providing training, information and resources to MAHC and the home care community for over a decade.
How it Works
Questions concerning home care business may be discussed by phone with the Legal Hotline attorney. Calls are limited to a 15 minute duration.
Those Complex Legal Issues
The Hotline is designed to assist you in answering questions requiring a legal opinion. Some problems require more work, research or representation than can be provided over the telephone in 15 minute conversations. If your legal question cannot be answered in a 15 minute call, you may make arrangements with the firm of Van Osdol, Magruder, Erickson & Redmond for additional services, if you prefer.
How Do I Use the Legal Hotline?
Each MAHC member is entitled to one free call to the Legal Hotline per calendar quarter. A “member” is a company, not an individual, therefore each member company would be entitled to one call per calendar quarter.
- Call the Legal Hotline at (816) 421-0644.
- Identify yourself as a MAHC member. Identify your name and the name of your company
- You will be connected to Bob Beachy, who will speak with you in regard to your question.
- If Bob Beachy is not immediately available, you will be asked to leave a voice mail message and he or one of his associates will return your call within two business days.
- Limit one call per company per calendar quarter

The Legal Hotline does not limit calls to any one area of the law, but reserves the right to decline to answer questions about any area with which the attorneys are not comfortable.
